An Invitation from Fr. Patrick:
You may have worshipped at Blessed Trinity for decades. Maybe you were part of the parish when it began. Maybe you’ve been here once or twice or at a funeral. Maybe you’ve driven by Blessed Trinity lots of times, wondering what things were like, but haven’t yet come inside. Maybe the pandemic has made you anxious about being with crowds indoors. Or maybe watching Mass online has simply ended up replacing being at Mass in person. There are too many reasons to list why Catholics aren’t at Mass the way they used to be; I can only guess at yours. If you’ve been away from the Church for whatever reason, maybe you’ll find in the Mass at Blessed Trinity something you’ve been looking for, and find yourself happily drinking in God’s grace. Maybe you’ll see in the Church what the Lord saw in it: an imperfect body made up of imperfect people. A group of men, women, and children worth belonging to and praying with. In the end, we follow a risen Savior whose wounds give us life, and whose invitation given so many years ago on the shores of Galilee is still given today: “Come and see.”
